On Thursday the 28th of November 2024 (the Thanksgiving holiday here) in the afternoon, our Domain Registrar suspended our domain due to a false positive in one of their systems. Because of communications complications involving the holiday, it took us more than 18 hours to reinstate the domain. The vast majority of ibiblio-supported sites and service have been impacted. We are still working to resolve the lingering effects and plan future steps to avoid a recurrence of this problem.

Most services we have reviewed are again fully functional. If you notice an ibiblio-hosted service is not working as expected and you believe it may be related to the DNS outage that started on Thursday, please reply here.

The connection to audio-ice2.ibiblio.org:8000 works for http, but NOT https. I assume a cert needs to be renewed(?).
Are you still using a bare IP addr from when DNS was failing somewhere in your config? I’m scratching my head as to what can be causing the failure for you, because the cert looks fine in a browser, and you can see the expiry from a CLI session like this:
openssl s_client -showcerts -servername audio-ice2.ibiblio.org -connect audio-ice2.ibiblio.org:443 2>&1| openssl x509 -noout -dates |grep ^notAfter
… with the result of the above for me being:
notAfter=Mar 12 23:59:59 2025 GMT
